Course Description

Implant dentistry has evolved tremendously since the advent of osseointegration, and as such, treatment modalities have flourished. Computer guided implant treatment has simplified planning and diagnosis, and has rendered both the surgical and restorative phase of implant therapy most predictable. Restoratively driven implant treatment can now be achieved with ease using the technology. In addition, patients may be rehabilitated in conjunction with their implant surgery, bypassing the traditional waiting period for implant prosthetic rehabilitation. Computer guided implant treatment facilitates precision implant placement and immediate prosthetic rehabilitation. The indications, advantages, disadvantages, and applications of computer guided implant therapy and immediate loading will be highlighted. Innovations regarding computer guided treatment facilitating successful outcomes in advanced implant cases will also be discussed.
